Exam Rules

RULES TO BE FOLLOWED IN EXAMS

1. Every student has to take the exam in the announced exam hall.
2. Students must take their seats in the exam hall five minutes before the start of the exam.
3. Students coming after 15 minutes from the start of the exam will not be admitted to the exam.
4. Students will not be allowed to leave the exam within the first 15 minutes of the exam. Students who leave later, for whatever reason, will not be re-admitted to the exam.
5. Students must have a student ID card in the exam. Those who do not have a student ID card will not be taken to the exam. Identity documents must be kept on the queue throughout the exam.
6. During the exam, you must turn off your mobile phone completely and keep it in an invisible place. If the cell phone is seen by the supervisors, your exam paper will be taken and the necessary legal action will be taken. All responsibility regarding the mobile phone belongs to the student.
7. The use of mobile phones instead of calculators is strictly prohibited. Calculators to be used in exams should be capable of performing only as much as the exam requires. Unless otherwise stated, the use of advanced calculators capable of drawing graphics with machines with advanced storage features such as data banks will not be allowed in exams.
8. Follow the warnings of the supervisors from the beginning of the exam. The supervisors have the authority to change the seating arrangement to maintain the order of the exam. During the exam, comply with the supervisor's requests for relocation.
9. Clean the writings on the rows that may be related to the exam and remove your bags and lecture notes from the top and bottom of the row. In the exam, any lecture notes, book etc. It is strictly forbidden to have material.
10. Before starting the exam, you can buy a pencil, eraser, ruler, calculator, tables etc. that you may need in the exam. You must have tools and equipment with you. Common use of any tools and equipment during the exam is prohibited.
11. Students who continue to misbehave despite warnings during the exam or who cheat or attempt to cheat during the exam will be documented by a report to be kept by the supervisor (s) and legal action will be initiated against them.
12. At the end of the exam, submit your question and answer sheets in the order specified by the supervisors. Make your comments and discussions about the questions in the exam outside the exam hall.
13. Students who leave the exam hall are not allowed to gather in the corridors until the end of the exam and to make verbal comments about the exam questions until they leave the corridor.
14. "Making or attempting to cheat in exams" requires suspension for 1 or 2 semesters according to the paragraph (m) of Article 9 of the Higher Education Institutions Student Disciplinary Regulation.
15. "Preventing taking courses or exams, taking courses or exams in any way" requires expulsion from higher education institution according to the clause (n) of Article 10 of the Higher Education Institutions Student Disciplinary Regulation.
16. "Making threatening cheating in exams, preventing students who cheat from being taken out of the exam hall, having someone else take the exam for themselves or taking the exam for someone else" requires a penalty of expulsion from the higher education institution according to the clause (j) of Article 10 of the Higher Education Institutions Student Disciplinary Regulation.
