Formal internship: Those who have courses during the semester (even online) cannot do a formal internship during the semester.
It was decided that those who have at most one course other than compulsory internship in the 2020-2021 Fall semester (regardless of the number of courses in the spring term) can do it remotely until the beginning of the spring semester.
Things to be Done within the Scope of Distance Internship;
1) Distance Internship Application Form and required additional documents must be prepared and an application must be made to sauciestaj@gmail.com until 22/02/2021.
Application documents;
-Detailed Internship Application Letter (If it is for internship-2, please specify hydraulic or transportation type.)
-Student transcript,
- Sabis screenshot showing the courses you have taken now (fall semester).
Unless requested, people who applied previously do not need to re-apply, send documents or mail.
NOTE: According to the type of internship you will be titling the e-mails you send for application;
Add Internship-1 (Building), Internship-2 (Transportation), Internship-2 (Hydraulic).
Those who will do both internships must add, for example, Internship-1 (Building) + Internship-2 (Hydraulic)
"Emails you send about the subjects clearly stated in the internship principles and announcements about internship, other e-mails sent to the professors except sauciestaj@gmail.com will not be answered.
2) The Distance Internship Application will be examined by the members of the internship committee and an information mail will be sent to the students by the members of the internship committee with the form of "Distance Internship Is Suitable or Distance Internship Is Not Suitable"
3) Students whose Distance Internship Application is eligible should prepare their Project files within the scope of Distance Internship in the Internship book format in accordance with the Internship Principles of the Civil Engineering Department. A 20-day internship book will be prepared and a new job will be explained in detail on a new page for each day.
4) Project file (Internship book) content;
4.a) For Internship-1 (Construction Training);
The construction stages of a reinforced concrete or steel (choice belongs to the student) building and how it is built with all the details from foundation to roof will be explained.
4.b) For Internship-2 (Transportation Internship);
It will be explained how a section belonging to a highway or a railway (the right of choice belongs to the student) is made with all the details, starting from earthworks to coating or rail laying. (It will not be written sequentially from a single source, it is also expected to explain about current projects by making use of resources such as the websites of various transportation projects. In addition, information about the experiments can be written for a maximum of 5 days.)
4.c) For Internship-2 (Hydraulic Internship);
By choosing one of the areas listed below, the construction stages will be explained in all details from earthworks to the end.

c. Rainwater
d. dam
e. mooring
f. Hes
5) The title of the e-mails to be sent for the delivery of the internship book will be (Internship-1 (building) ledger delivery, Internship-2 (transportation) book delivery, Internship-2 (hydraulic) book delivery). The submitted files will be scanned and converted to pdf format and named as name_ student number. (Those that are not in pdf format will not be evaluated.)
6) Remote Internship Ledger Delivery: Those who will do distance internship must send their internship notebooks within one month from the date of approval at the latest.
Internship notebooks prepared in pdf format will be sent to sauciestaj@gmail.com via e-mail as stated above.
